At the Bakersfield Braves Baseball Club, we’re proud to offer a flexible training program tailored for charter and homeschool families. Athletes can train in the mornings or early afternoons and choose between private instruction or small-group sessions. Whether your player is brand new or experienced, we provide all the gear they need — gloves, bats, and a supportive learning environment.
Flexible Training for Your Student Athlete
We understand that charter and homeschool families need flexibility, structure, and clear communication. Our Charter & Homeschool Baseball Program is built to work with your schedule, your student’s learning style, and your school’s funding process.
We are an approved vendor / community service provider for:
- Heartland Charter School
- Monarch River Academy
Funds from these schools can be used for baseball and softball lessons as well as group classes.
What We Offer
Private 1:1 Lessons
Personalized 60 minute session tailored to your child’s age, experience, and goals.

Group Classes
Skill-based groups where athletes learn in a fun, competitive, and supportive environment.
- 90 minute sessions twice a week
- Sorted by age and skill level

Scheduling
We offer daytime and after-school training blocks so families can build baseball into their weekly rhythm.

How To Enroll
Step 1 — Complete Our Request Form
Fill out the short Charter/Homeschool Request Form here so we know your student’s age, experience level, and preferred training times.
Step 2 — Submit a Purchase Order (PO)
If you’re with Heartland Charter or Monarch River Academy, submit a PO using our vendor information. If you’re a private-pay homeschool family, we’ll handle payment directly.
Step 3 — Schedule Your Training
Once we receive approval, we’ll contact you to confirm your weekly lesson time or group class.

Q1: Can we use charter funds for baseball?
A: Yes. Baseball and softball lessons qualify as part of physical education for many charter schools, including Heartland Charter and Monarch River Academy. Always confirm with your teacher or charter rep if you have questions.
Q2: Do you work with beginners?
A: Absolutely. We work with complete beginners through advanced travel-ball players. We meet each athlete where they’re at and build from the ground up.
Q3: What ages do you train?
A: We typically train players ages 6–18, organizing groups by age and skill level so every player feels challenged but not overwhelmed.
Q5: Can non-charter homeschool families join?
A: Yes. Homeschool families who are not using charter funds are welcome to enroll at our private-pay rates.
